Domaine Sylvie Esmonin was originally owned by the Comte de Moucheron. When the Comte had to sell the current owner, Sylive's grandfather, was perfectly positioned to jump having worked for the Comte for many years. Sylvie has cultivated seven hectares under her own name since 1988.
Organic since 1990, Sylvie ferments quickly for a couple of weeks in stainless steel before maturation in oak barrels from Dominque Laurent (barrel-geeks will know these are a hard find) which results in famously elegant wine.
