From the Chateau des Jacques estate in Moulin a Vent, Burgundy. The fruit comes from the old vines of the Grand Clos de Loyse vineyard. Fermented and aged in 50% new and 50% one-year-old casks. It has a wonderful rounded mouth-feel, with hints of brioche and toasted cashews on the palate. These are harmoniously balanced with a fresh acidity and citrus notes of lemon. Our taste-testers compared the citrus to baked lemons - especially the ones that roast inside a chicken, so it's no surprise that it goes well with chicken dishes - or even roast turkey and all the trimmings at Christmas.
