Chardonnay
75cl * 14% ABV * Stellenbosch, Western Cape, South Africa
Capensis is a family of three wines dedicated exclusively to Chardonnay. The name Capensis is taken from the Latin word meaning “from the Cape,” and pays homage to their home in South Africa, one of the oldest winemaking regions in the world. The ancient soils, dramatic landscapes and historic vineyards of Stellenbosch, Overberg and Robertson are the foundation for Capensis, which honors the greatness of South Africa. Winemaker Graham Weerts has carefully selected the finest Chardonnay vineyards within the Western Cape to create these expressive wines.
The 2018 Capensis Western Cape Chardonnay is a culmination of five remarkable vineyards – a balanced, layered, and complex expression of the region. Crafted to age gracefully and gain complexity over time, pure citrus and rich minerality drive a focused, world-class Chardonnay.
