Sauvignon Blanc
75cl * Vegan * 12% ABV * Adelaide, Australia
Australian Sauvignon Blanc is often eclipsed by its more pungent, herbaceous Kiwi cousin, particularly those from Marlborough. This - made by cousins Martin Shaw and Michael Hill Smith MW - has a somewhat more restrained grassiness, coupled with some ripe fruit characters and mouthwatering, juicy acidity. Fresh and lively, it is best drunk young, ideally with fresh seafood or a stir-fry. A huge personal favourite, this wine has been very highly rated by Jancis Robinson MW and Jane MacQuitty in The Times.
