All of Benjamin’s vineyards are in premium spots in the Cote d’Or and where possible he insists on organic and biodynamic practices in each of them. Benjamin is a master at delivering purity of fruit alongside a seamless texture in his wines which have only the subtlest influence of oak.
Remarkably, his 2014 Bourgogne Blanc is still tight and well structured, with toasty walnut and brazil nut layers mingling with a hint of wet dog aroma (in a good way, trust us!) and an impressively bright minerality. Benjamin’s choice of stelvin closure rather than cork has done the wine a big favour on this occasion. The finish is long and elegant. This is one awesome wine and genuinely exciting to drink.
