The Dubourdieu family bought this second cru classe, 14 hectare property in 1924 and produced the first dry white in a sweet wine area in 1949. They are committed to using modern methods and generous quantities of new oak.
Denis Dubourdieu created one of the best 2007 Barsac wines with the 2007 Doisy-Daene. Hints of mango, crushed peachy fruit, white flowers and a hint of lemon curd, perfectly balanced with some excellent acidity here. The finish tapers off on a long and very precise finish.
Keep a bottle to hand at all times for pairing with simple fruit tarts or strawberries and cream.
