Château Peyredon Lagravette three kilometers east of the village of Moulis, in the town of Médrac. It spans the Listrac and Moulis appellation areas and is part of the Grand Poujeaux hillock, renowned for its "Gunz Gravel" ... in geological terms that means the soil is exceptionally well-draining, so excellent for vines. Little wonder then that Peyredon's neighbours are prestigious châteaux such as Poujeaux, Chasse Spleen and Maucaillou.

The vineyard is composed of 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, with a density of 9100 vines per hectare for an area of 10 hectares.

The wine shows a lovely intense purplish ruby colour with dark tints. It has an amazingly complex nose with aromas of black fruit that are dominated by blackberry and raspberry. It has a pleasant grilled flavour, is very round and rich, and is remarkably balanced overall with elegant, mellow tannin. It has an equally appealing, long finish. Perfect with roast red meats, slow-cooked stews and hearty game dishes or duck served with a blackberry sauce.
