6 x 75cl * Pessac-Leognan, Bordeaux, France
Bordeaux is less well known for its whites, but they really can be extraordinarily good. Especially, as in the case of La Clarté, when they come from the Clarence Dillon family owned Haut-Brion vineyards. Made from a blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon, the 2020 has great aging potential with deliciously fruity and floral aromas.
Journalists' scores: James Suckling (94-95), Robert Parker (90-92), Matthew Jukes (17.5+), Jancis Robinson (16.5+), Decanter (92)
