12 x 75cl * 13% ABV * Pauillac, Bordeaux, France
Bordeaux in 2020 seems to have all the freshness that made the outstanding 2016 so appealing, but also combines the warmth and accessibility of vintages like 2009 - we can't get enough of this vintage, even if volumes are largely down. This relatively small property (under the ownership of Chateau du Glana in St Julien) has its best plots situated next door to the much exalted Grand-Puy-Lacoste. Elegant and rounded, it shows some pleasingly plummy fruit studded with vanilla and cinnamon. Drink from 2028 to 2035.
Please note that prices are in-bond and exclude VAT, which are payable when the wines land in spring/summer 2023.
