Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon
75cl * 14.5% ABV * St Emilion, Bordeaux
The vines (with an average age of 15 - 60 years old) at Château Macquin are located in some of the most prime sites on the Right Bank. Wines have been made at here since 1885 and the property was the first to re-plant vines in the St Emilion region following the phylloxera outbreak in the 19th century. A rich ruby red in colour, this wine shows intense ripe red cherry aromas tinged with graphite and spice. Full-bodied, with fine-grained tannins and lifted acidity, it shows ample fruit concentration.
