75cl * Porto, Portugal
Dirk Niepoort is the fifth generation proprietor at this small family-run house, but the quality under his watch has been nothing but stellar. Critic James Suckling describes Niepoort as the Krug of Vintage Port and 2011 was called the perfect year by Dirk himself. Inky black, it offers up a ripe black fruit bowl sprinkled with graphite, black tea and black pepper. Fresh and powerful. Unmissable for the fortified collector.

This bottle is part of a wine cellar purchased from a highly respected Master of Wine (MW) with whom I have worked for many years and who is recognised as one of the world’s Italian wine experts. It has been stored in the MW’s own cellar or climate-controlled storage and I have every belief that it is in tip-top condition. However, as with all purchases of this nature there has to be an element of caveat emptor to proceedings – as such, we will not be able to offer refunds or returns on this item.
