75cl * Loire Valley, France
Francois Cotat is one of the most respected producers in the Loire Valley and his 2012s are some of the strongest offerings from Sancerre in the last decade. The steep slopes of the Monts Damnes produce complex, textural wines with laser-like zip and definition. Pear, gooseberry, lime, freshly cut grass open up on the rich and velvety palate, touches of herbs and tobacco add nuances of complexity, which makes this one of the finest Sauvignon Blancs in the world. Decant to let it unfurl.

This bottle is part of a wine cellar purchased from a highly respected Master of Wine (MW) with whom I have worked for many years and who is recognised as one of the world’s Italian wine experts. It has been stored in the MW’s own cellar or climate-controlled storage and I have every belief that it is in tip-top condition. However, as with all purchases of this nature there has to be an element of caveat emptor to proceedings – as such, we will not be able to offer refunds or returns on this item.
