75cl * Burgundy, France
From the oldest vines in the Colin stable on the slop above the Le Montrachet Grand Cru vineyard, this plot once grew hemp (hence the name Chenevottes). Right in the drinking zone now, it exudes peachy fruit given lift by zingy citrus, depth in toast, and some decent mineral tension. Warm, rich and round on the palate, it shows plenty of power and vibrancy. Staggeringly good white Burgundy.

This bottle is part of a wine cellar purchased from a highly respected Master of Wine (MW) with whom I have worked for many years and who is recognised as one of the world’s Italian wine experts. It has been stored in the MW’s own cellar or climate-controlled storage and I have every belief that it is in tip-top condition. However, as with all purchases of this nature there has to be an element of caveat emptor to proceedings – as such, we will not be able to offer refunds or returns on this item.
