75cl * Bordeaux, France
Although very drinkable in its youth, the best wines of Raymond-Lafon only reach full maturity between 10 and 30 years of age. Sweet and lush, with notes of vanilla, pineapple, honey and apricot, but kept in check with a fine bead of razor-like acidity (giving lift and freshness). An underrated and somewhat bargainous estate.

This bottle is part of a wine cellar purchased from a highly respected Master of Wine (MW) with whom I have worked for many years and who is recognised as one of the world’s Italian wine experts. It has been stored in the MW’s own cellar or climate-controlled storage and I have every belief that it is in tip-top condition. However, as with all purchases of this nature there has to be an element of caveat emptor to proceedings – as such, we will not be able to offer refunds or returns on this item.
