For many years, Lagrange did a disservice to its status as a Third Growth Classe property. However, in 1983, the property was purchased by the Suntory Group (the Japanese drinks multinational) who have slowly turned it into a model, state-of-the-art estate. An impressive and attractive bouquet of rose petals, cassis and raspberries mingles with cedar and sandlewood. Fleshy stylish on the palate, its fresh line of acidity and fine tannins only lends to its overall density and generosity. Reportedly one of the most charming wines to come out of Lagrange in years. Drink to 2040.
