The Cavit co-operative are renowned for sourcing some of the best quality fruit from thousands of growers across the Veneto region, in the hills north of Treviso, between the river Piave and the Prealps. The Glera grape flourishes in the fresh, loose hill soils in this area and the grapes are harvested by hand, producing high quality wine.
Temperature controlled fermentation takes place in stainless steel to retain freshness and the pure fruit flavours, but then the wine is held on fine lees for 3 months before bottling to give it a slight creamy softness.
Deliciously light and fruity, this Prosecco has hints of apple and peach on the nose and a fresh, softly sparkling palate with characters of soft ripe stone fruits. Serve chilled as an aperitif or celebration wine. Also goes well with Italian panettone.
