This has been called ‘the Chambolle of Gigondas’ by Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate, which compares it with some of the finest red Burgundy – and gave it a whopping 97 points. Coming from 130-year-old vines, L’Argnee has elegance, length and outstanding complexity: concentrated raspberry and blackcurrant aromas mingle with an undertone of liquorice, following through to sweet, spiced plum on the palate. Will certainly age easily through to 2028. Pair with wild mushrooms, richer meat dishes or stews.
