A limited-release addition to Flint's range - only 1,500 bottles have been produced. The difference between this and Flint’s other Bacchus is that fermentation takes place in new oak barrels rather than stainless-steel tanks. The 11 months in oak offers layers of character and subtle complexity, rounding out any citrus-sharpness with delicate almond and lifted floral notes.
Although from flinty soil, the dominant aromas are of elderflower, green apple and pithy lime tempered by grassy hints and dried herbs. Although hugely enjoyable now, over the next 3- to 5-years, this wine will continue to develop beautiful honeyed, petrol-like characters.
