Malbec
75cl * 14.5% ABV * Mendoza, Argentina
Bodega Norton was founded in 1855 by Edmund Norton during the building of the first railway between Mendoza and Chile. A century of so later, the winery was purchased by the Swarovski family, who recognised the quality potential of the terroir in Argentina - long before the Malbec boom of the late 20th century. This red is a 100% varietal Malbec from 50-80 year old vines grown at high elevation - the result is a wine of a deep violet-black in colour, with ripe black fruit, pepper and sweet spice with elegant tannins. Malbec is a tried and tested partner to barbecued beef - this is no exception.
