Perhaps surprisingly, fortified wines have long been a part of Australia’s history. Yalumba only release this Muscat from their 150-year-old cellars once in a blue moon when the wine has accrued enough colour and flavour from extended oak maturation. Tawny-coloured, super ripe in aroma and flavour, reminiscent of liquefied raisins lashed with notes of chocolate, caramel, spices, nuts and brandy. Lusciously textured on the long, sweet finish. Delicious paired with Stilton.
