Grenache/Cinsault/Syrah/Rolle Blend * 75cl * 12.5% ABV * Côtes de Provence, France
Our newest addition to the rosé stable, Hecht Bannier is perhaps not so well known as our other prestige rosés, but finding the next big thing is something that we like to dabble in! This delicate, pale wine has floral and herbal hints on the nose, think juniper and rosemary. There's natural sweetness balanced by crisp acidity and a mineral saltiness to it's long, appealing finish.
At only 12.5% is one of the lowest alcohol rosés we stock - and that's because some of the grapes for this blend come from the higher vineyards in the hills around Provence. The cool, misty mornings let the grapes mature more slowly, so there isn't that instant sugar hit from them ripening too quickly, which would translate into a higher alcohol content.
Awarded a Highly Recommended by Decanter Magazine (August 2019) and 90 pts by all the panel judges (Nicolas Clerc MS, Elizabeth Gabay MW, Joanna Simon).
