Grenache/Cabernet Sauvignon/Cinsault blend * 75cl * 14.3% ABV * Barossa Valley, Australia
This blend changes each year with each release, but historically varietals have included Sangiovese, Cabernet Franc, Mataro, Malbec, Dolcetto and Tannat - all co-fermented and then blended with Barossa Grenache. This is bright and crunchy with lots of cherry, redcurrant and plum on the nose, with lovely ripe tannins and fresh acidity to keep things in check. This is not your usual heavy Barossa red: on the contrary, it's really rather easy drinking in style, and can even take a light chill. Summer pudding in a glass!
