Pinot Noir * 75cl * 13.5% ABV * Aconcagua Costa, Chile
Despite 2016 being a difficult vintage for Chile, it resulted in wines of outstanding vivacity and character. This is inviting and fresh when young, displaying bright red-fruit notes currently, but has enormous potential for laying-down. We enjoyed this so much that once our shelves were cleared we instantly had to reorder more. Peter Richards MW of Decanter Magazine is also a big fan:
"The obsessive work of Errazuriz and Francisco Baettig in Aconcagua Costa has led to simply stellar Pinot Noir. Top-label Las Pizarras is sensational; this is a more affordable version but still offers outstanding value at this price. Piercing scents and fine, poised classy flavour profile. Drinking window: 2018 - 2022."
