A great batch of newbies, picked up from our recent trade tastings or updated vintages of old favourites. Your case of SIX wines will include:
Lost Block 2014 - A softer, more approachable Hunter Valley Semillon. It is a un-oaked style that exhibits aromas of limes and refreshing citrus flavours..
Chateau Montlau Entre-Deux-Mers 2016 - The lesser known element of Bordeaux is its quite substantial amount of good quality white wine grape varieties that are grown between the two major rivers of the region, the Dordogne and the Garonne. This is the delicious sister to one of our favourite Bordeaux, a perfect accompaniment to fish, fruits-de-mer or simply as an aperitif.
Sileni Chardonnay 2015 - If you fancy some Kiwi Chardonnay - this is your one. Lovely citrus and nectarine flavours backed up by gentle, sweet oak and lees stirred complexity. It's drinking well now, but could easily be kept for another two to three years - if you can wait that long!
Apostrophe Possessive Red 2014 - Approachable, striking and modern, this red blend oozes complexity - with the Shiraz's earthiness tempering the Grenache's muskiness, which in turn softens the Mataro's steeliness.
Gazzera 2015 - This is a typically Sicilian red wine - rich and full bodied with intense blackberry and violet scents followed by a warm and spicy finish.
Wente Zinfandel 2013 - A medium-full bodied, with plenty of blueberry fruit wine - essentially a little lighter than your average Zinfandel, and not at all bad for it.
