Pinot Noir * 75cl * 12% ABV * Vegan * Devon, England
Sharpham is one of England's most picturesque vineyards - its 14 acres of vines are planted on red loam soils on sheltered slopes overlooking the River Dart - and has been making wine for almost 20 years. Pinot Noir is notoriously difficult to grow, no more so than in England where it can struggle to reach the ripeness needed to make good red wine - but this estate has succeeded! This is light and fruit-driven, with fresh strawberry, cherry and cranberry notes caressed by a lick of vanilla from French oak. Good with lean red meats and simple pasta dishes, and even better slightly chilled! One of England's best reds.
