Bott Geyl is one of the top organic and biodynamic estates in Alsace who specialise in making racy and mineral Alsatian varietals, the family winemaking tradition dating back to 1795. The focus is on low yields and a minimalist intervention in both the vineyard and the cellar - the idea is to bring together tradition and modernity for future generations to enjoy. This has a gorgeous crystalline background of citrus fruit and glowers, with riper stone fruit balanced by Riesling's tell-tale acidity and freshness. This is a very accessible food wine, matching local dishes such as charcuterie, goat cheese, onion tart, smoked fish and poultry.
