Champagne Henri Mandois Vintage 2004/2005 Discounts Apply15% off on 6 or more
Vintage wines are where the small growers really come in to their own. As in the non-vintage Champanges, Mandois use a lot of 'heavier' black grapes (it's 80% Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier), which gives a tremendous richness of fruit at a price less than most branded non-vintage Champagnes.
Buy six bottles and only pay £26.09 per bottle. *discounts will be automatically applied at the checkout
Champagne Louis Roederer Vintage 2003 Discounts Apply15% off on 6 or more
"An intense and powerful wine demonstrating great aromatic evolution. It is a real cocktail of dried fruits, spices and ripe fruits. There are also slightly chocolaty biscuit notes, with toasted undertones. The texture is full, generous and warm. Due to the ripeness of this year of heat, on the palate, the wine is rich, dense and structured with great length and elegance." - Jean-Baptiste Lécaillon
Buy six bottles and pay only £42.49 per bottle. *discounts will be automatically applied at the checkout
Pol Roger Vintage 2000 Champagne Discounts Apply15% off on 6 or more
Pol Roger is famous for the length of time that its vinatge wines can age for, as well as for their smoothness and richness. The black label is in homage to their most famous customer, Winston Churchill, and was originally a sign of mourning after he died.
“The [Pol Roger] 2000 is delicious, very exuberant and definitely one of the best 2000s I have tasted"
Champagne Expert, Tom Stephenson, author of the Chirsties Guide to Champagne
Buy six bottles and only pay £45.21 per bottle. *discounts will be automatically applied at the checkout
Pol Roger's Cuvee Sir Winston Churchill 1999 Champagne
Winston Churchill was Pol Roger's most famous customer, and is supposed to have drunk a pint of their Champagne every morning from a pewter tankard! Whatever he was doing with the Champagne there is documentary evidence that he used 500 cases in the last 10 years of his life!
Champagne Krug Grande Cuvee Brut N/V
"What God gives his Angels, but only when they have been very good."
Normally super-premium Champagnes rely on their fruit coming from a single exceptional vintage to distinguish themselves from other blends. This is certainly not the Krug way: there are no fewer than 47 wines in the current blend, coming from 10 vintages and 25 different villages. These individual wines are all fermented in separate small oak casks, allowing an incredible complexity of flavour to develop which is further added to by 6 years of bottle aging prior to release.
Champagne Louis Roederer Cristal 2002
Limited Availability... The famous clear bottle for this Champagne was the idea of Tsar Alexander II who not only wanted to see what he was drinking (in case it was poisoned), but wanted everyone else to see it as well. He also insisted the base of the bottle was flat so no-one could hide a bomb in the punt!
