Our 9th Annual Summer Wine Festival will take place at Gate Street Barn, (less than a mile from our store) on Wednesday 12th May 2010 between 6 pm and 9.30pm.
30 of our main suppliers including several Masters of Wine, winemakers and winery owners will be present between them showing over 300 wines as well as stands from a couple of local breweries and even some unusual spirits and liqueurs. Tim Bulmer who so ably illustrates our catalogues will also have a stall and will be selling prints of his work as well as taking commissions. Wines on taste will include everything from 'everyday' wines at £ 5 to 'fine wines' for the cellar and many of the wines on show will be on 'show specials' for the evening.
The entrance fee is non-refundable £ 10 per person which is payable on the door, £ 5 of which will be donated to the Samson Centre in Guildford that helps those with Multiple Sclerosis. The Samson Centre which is Guildford Rotary Club's nominated charity for the year receives no public funding and has to rely entirely upon donations to continue.
As always there will be plenty of complimentary cheese, pate and coffee available throughout the evening.
It helps us cater for you better if you RSVP using the form below so that we have a more accurate idea of numbers. If you enter your email address you will be emailed a copy of the show brochure about a week before the event.
